From its inception in 1986, Priority One has generated substantial return to investors and the Cedar Rapids area in terms of new job creation, expansion of existing business and the recruitment of new companies. During this time period, the organization remained true to its mission by focusing on basic sector economic growth. As a result, Priority One continues to be recognized as one of the premier private/public partnerships in the State of Iowa.
Over the past decade, Priority One has taken lead on projects creating the following results:

- New Business Attractions: 59 companies
- Existing Business Expansions: 209 local expansions
- Total Capital Investment: $2,149,617,000
